Safed Kharik is golden dried dates, ground fine, with nothing added. Its taste is light and honey-like, so it sweetens chai and coffee without changing their flavour.
Families use it in children's porridge, sheera and kheer, and bakers use it in place of brown sugar in cakes and cookies.
Use 1–2 teaspoons in chai, coffee, porridge or kheer. In baking, replace sugar one-for-one and expect a softer, moister crumb. Close the zip after every use.
